Bough Die Wreath

My inspiration for this card came from last years November Paper Pumpkin!  Last years November kit was one of my favorites.  This year they’ve added a coordinating tag one for Decembers kit. If you haven’t already subscribed, there is a link up top where you can subscribe so you won’t miss out.

First I started this card out with a Cherry Cobbler base and the little deer from the plaid DSP.  After diecuting a dozen of the single boughs from the Beautiful Boughs Die, I punched out  out a 2′ circle of vellum to adhere the bought to.  I then added a few sprigs in gold from the punch in the annual catalog.  After embossing Joyful Season from Lots of Cheer in gold, I cut it out with the stitched labels die. Glued it on added a little bow and then adhered it to the card front.

On the inside I used the large die to cut the panel then added the sentiment from  Peaceful Boughs and a couple of boughs.

Lots of Cheer Snowman gets arms.

So, are you like me and have a light bulb moment and know you just have to try something?  Well, I sure did when I saw the awesome Let it Snow embellishment kit in the Holiday Catalog.  Right away I thought of the Snowman from  Lots of Cheer in the Annual catalog.  For this card, I used a base of Whisper White and then a layer of Bermuda Bay stamped with the Birch background stamp.  It’s one of my favorite new stamps.  I stamped the snowman on Whisper White then colored him in with blends. I cut him out with the Stitched rectangle die and then added his hat, eyes, nose and arms.  Added some flax ribbon, and the sentiment and I was done.

The Let it Snow embellishment kit has got my creative juices going. So What do you think?

Thanks for stopping by and getting Inky with me.
